BrainStormWFO is a rapid outliner. It is the only outliner capable of working near the speed of thought. This enables frictionless outlining.
This video demonstrates how BrainStormWFO uses movable bookmarks to quickly sort text.
BrainStormWFO uses six hotkeyed bookmarks. You must learn these hotkeys. Here they are:
| bookmark | set location | throw to location |
| default mark | ctrl-m | ctrl-t |

Enforced focus
BrainStormWFO’s bottleneck is not the speed of the program, but the speed of your brain. You think faster when you’re not distracted. To increase mental speed, BrainStormWFO enforces extreme focus. Here’s a screenshot:

You can see two windows in the above screenshot. The left is titled “Inbox /D /S” and the right is titled “Actionables”. You can also see the direct children of each title entry. If you want to see the grandchildren, you have to navigate down a level.
Controlling windows with hotkeys
You can control BrainStormWFO’s windows with hotkeys. Your fingers never need to leave the keyboard. Here are the window control hotkeys:
- Ctrl-k splits the selected window
- Ctrl-TAB switches selected windows
- Alt-v maximizes selected window
- Ctrl-F4 closes selected window
Proper sorting method
You think better when considering lists of seven items or less. If you follow a proper sorting method, you can build an outline with thousands of items without ever considering more than seven items at once. The above video demonstrates the proper sorting method.
