The email problem can be vexatious.
Here’s a method that fully integrates email into Cyborganize:
1. Forward all boxes to one central Gmail account. Gmail’s speed, search, readability, space and hotkey navigation is unparalleled.
2. Scan emails as they come in for urgent tasks and star them if necessary for later action.
3. Batch process starred emails.
4. Extract text you will use again, then archive the email without using folders, categories or tags.
5. If you unexpectedly need to find something you didn’t extract, just use Gmail’s search.
Fixing Gmail’s broken search
One problem: Gmail’s search (surprisingly for Google) sucks. It cannot search for partial words.
This can subtly annoy you, without you really noticing. These links confirm the problem. Note that it does have Boolean search logic:

The solution is an awesome cloud service called Greplin. You can read about it here. It’s a Chrome extension that replaces Gmail’s search engine with something that works vastly better.
Greplin also has other cool features, like the ability to search your Dropbox files and your Google RSS Reader. Sweet!
