Execution Loop case study (with video)

The Execution Loop provides a seamless, prioritized, infinitely repeating system for getting your work done. It is capable of addressing deep life problems while simultaneously handling day-to-day emergencies. It does so with minimal organizational overhead.

The below demo video uses the anonymous diary of a 29 year old workaholic who’s barely making ends meet financially. It solves his problems with his wife, his job, food, bills, long hours, missed sleep, etc.

The video shows how a person with severe life problems can use the Execution Loop to generate a long range plan, surface the best immediate next actions, and begin executing them. It covers all stages from info capture, to analysis, to prioritization, to action.

The video is 45 minutes long. Because it is based on an interesting case study, you will learn a lot about personal productivity and self improvement. The video goes fast and assumes familiarity with the case study.

This is a serious exercise. To get the most out of it, do a homework assignment first. Read the case study here, analyze the problem, and write down your proposed next actions. Then watch the video. When you are done, compare your answers to the ones I generated using the Execution Loop.

Better yet, use the Execution Loop yourself, and compare the answers generated to your initial plan. You will probably smack yourself on the forehead.

That’s ok. We’re all human. That’s why we need systems.
