It drives me nuts when people “halfway” get Cyborganize. They usually decide it might be a nice way to file their research.
They’re totally missing the point.
If you’re a PIM* junkie, you know the power of mind mapping. You can extrapolate what having a dynamically adjusting map of your brain would be like.
Well, that stuff is small potatoes.
Ultimately the mindmapping, the l-mode/r-mode reinforcement, the losslessness, the low overhead, all serve a single higher purpose:
Grind Acting.
(*PIM means Personal Information Manager software)
Give your life a diamond saw’s edge
“Grind Acting” is what happens when you inexorably burn down your prioritized todo list in actionables.brn.
It’s what stacks up over days, weeks and months of repeating the same simple process:
1. Execute in order of priority.
2. Capture additional executables generated by working.
3. Re-sort new actionables on the fly.
4. Repeat from 1.
You see, the work itself generates a constant rain of new action items on your todo outline. And culls a constant harvest of finished todo items at the same time.
Many new todos, like casually scattered seeds, will fall to the lower-priority sections of the outline and lay there, forgotten for months or years.
It doesn’t matter. The same thought may strike you again tomorrow, this time more urgently, and it will land on a higher tier and get done. Or if it never does, you can always find it again when you bother to sort lower in your outline.
But some of the new todos will land very high on your priority list, and get done immediately, taking you in still further different directions.
Constantly, this rain of todos are sifted into their hierarchy of importance for you. This keeps your course ever correcting towards perfection, like an airline jet making a great circle flight.
THAT’S the power of Cyborganize that all other systems lack.
The big three of GTD
It comes down to three things: volume, speed, and continuousness.
- Speed – of BrainStormWFO’s sorting. Vastly outperforms pen and paper and other clunky, opaque GTD applications. Allows super-low overhead.
- Volume – of actionables generated. No limit on it, cuz no overhead. Therefore you can TRULY clear your head at all times.
- Continuousness – Many gurus recommend making a todo list the night before. How trite. Cyborganize can adjust course multiple times per day. Nothing is easier than dumping a new batch of 15 todo items into the actionables.brn outline and sorting the important 3 into the top layers of the hierarchy.
Inexorable Identity Convergence
So what do you USE all this power for?
Well, it should be capturing EVERY potential todo item you think of.
And then sorting them according to YOUR priority ranking.
So you will NATURALLY be working on THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUES IN YOUR LIFE.
Use Cyborganize correctly, and you will progress automatically on your largest life problems, ambitions, opportunities, pain points, passions, pleasures, and curiosities.
The simple act of SORTING all those generated actionables, comparing them two or three at a time, automatically SURFACES what YOU CARE ABOUT MOST.
The answers may greatly surprise you. But over time, you’ll come to know yourself very well.
I call this effect of Cyborganize “Identity Convergence.”
That’s why I view it as such a SACRILEGE when people start out by using Cyborganize for FILING THEIR RESEARCH.
It’s like being given a crystal ball into your future, and using it as a paperweight.
What dreams may come
Cyborganize will automatically cause a convergence of your actions, thoughts, and computer files with your true unconscious identity.
Meanwhile, “Grind Acting” whines like a diamond buzz saw against any challenge, making progress inevitable.
Now what do you suppose happens when you combine “Grind Acting” with “Identity Convergence”?
Your true dreams come true.
